We’re delighted to welcome you to Paris Photo 2025 at Booth C07, Grand Palais (November 12–16), presenting I’ll Be Here to Remind You—a solo exhibition by acclaimed Ghanaian artist Carlos Idun-Tawiah.
This exhibition marks the Paris Photo debut of 28-year-young Idun-Tawiah, a rising and defining voice in contemporary African photography.
Galería Alta, his exclusive worldwide representative, proudly introduces his work to the world’s premier photography fair, coinciding with his receipt of the prestigious Deloitte Photo Grant.
Working from Accra, Carlos Idun-Tawiah masterfully transforms photographic archives into compelling contemporary stories that reveal the quiet power of everyday life.
His poignant photographs explore universal themes of family, joy, faith, and youth—blurring the lines between fiction and non-fiction, past and present, memory and imagination. Throughout his practice, he honours the complexity of African life and the Black experience, centering its culture and beauty.
A Collectors Journal will accompany the exhibition, featuring insightful contributions from Nathalie Herschdorfer, the distinguished Director of the Photo Elysée museum, and Bill Shapiro, former Editor-in-Chief of LIFE magazine. The publication is designed by RM.
In collaboration with Milan’s Galleria Rossella Colombari, the exhibition stages a dialogue between contemporary African photography and Italian mid-century design, where three curated furniture pieces create an intimate setting for cross-cultural storytelling.
This exceptional timing offers visitors a unique cultural journey: beginning at Paris Photo, the world’s most important photography fair; continuing at Galería Alta headquarters in Andorra; and concluding at Triennale Milano, showcasing Idun-Tawiah’s acclaimed work across the full spectrum of Art Fair, Gallery, and Museum.
