Biography

Clark Winter is a renowned global strategist and accomplished artist whose work bridges photography, videography, and geopolitics. With decades of experience at JPMorgan, Clark has lived and worked across Spain, Latin America, Asia, and the United States, witnessing firsthand the disruptions, transitions, and emergence of new societies.

As both a world-class authority on geopolitics and a passionate visual storyteller, Clark's photography captures the striking contrasts between rapid development and the enduring harmonies of our world. His images thoughtfully explore the interplay of intentional and unintentional consequences, offering a unique perspective on humanity's role as both creators and products of nature.

Through his lens, Clark contemplates humans not only as vibrant beings but also as integral elements within the broader tapestry of natural and man-made environments. His work invites viewers to reflect on the complex relationship between progress, tradition, and the ever-changing global landscape.

Clark's publications include Here to There (Damiani Books, 2025), 10 Films by Clark Winter DVD (Steidl Verlag, 2025), Birds (Steidl Verlag, 2025), Free Air (Steidl Verlag, 2025), and features in Blind Magazine (2024). He is also the author of Either / Or (Random House, 2008).

In addition to his artistic achievements, Clark serves as a trustee for several cultural organizations, including the June Leaf and Robert Frank Foundation, positioning him as a steward of significant photographic legacies.
