This story has been written by four brains and eight hands. First, let us introduce the characters: Fiammetta Horvat, theatrical set designer, illustrator, Frank’s daughter, guardian and promoter of her father’s work; Pancho Saula, co-founder of Galería Alta alongside his wife, Michelle Ferrara. Saula is a photography enthusiast, a devotee, a madman. The third is Mathilde Oudin, who was Horvat’s assistant, now co-director of his archive, and who helped us gather the images featured in this piece. The fourth is myself, the one writing these lines. An admirer of Horvat, a (wandering) photographer, a humble writer.
